Meet Our Founders: Dr. and MRs. DeQuincy Lewis

Dr. DeQuincy Lewis and Sarah Lewis are a devoted and prominent husband and wife team in their community whose lives are structured around compassion, strength, and service. Together, they combine medical insight and heartfelt advocacy to support cancer patients and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

DeQuincy A. Lewis, MD has been board-certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology for nearly 20 years. Dr. Lewis's clinical focus areas include breast cancer, colorectal cancer and blood disorders.  Dr. Lewis received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Dr. Lewis received his Medical Doctorate degree and completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his hematology-oncology fellowship at Indiana University Hospital. He is supportive of his community and is well-respected.  During his leisure time, he loves spending time with his wife and kids, collecting and driving his classic British sports cars and supporting NC A&T Aggie athletics. Sarah B. Lewis is our founder and Chief Executive Officer with more than 20 years of experience in public education, child welfare and the nonprofit sector. She began her non profit career at Cook Inlet Tribal Council, located in Anchorage, Alaska. During her professional career as a TANF (Temporary Assistance For Needy Families) Youth Case Manager, she led initiatives in grant writing, program management, volunteer coordination, and strategic planning for Alaskan Tribal youth.  Mrs. Lewis is a charter member of Cook Inlet Tribal Council Toastmasters. As a former high school educator and child protective service social worker, Mrs. Lewis has a heart for doing more than what is required. Mrs. Lewis is the heart of Beauty In Giving Foundation. She believes our reward is stored up in heaven and that it is honorable to help those in need. Mrs. Lewis received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Johnson C. Smith University, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Human Services Counseling: Marriage and Family from Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mrs. Lewis is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., since 2007. 

Together, they have two girls (Morgan and Portland) and one son (Devingston). Dr. and Mrs. Lewis are passionate about bringing hope and healing to families affected by cancer. They are committed to not just motivating others, but rolling up their sleeves and putting in the work for families. The couple shines light that cancer is indiscriminate to whom it may impact. It's their God given assignment to assist in the fight to help families dealing with cancer.  

Dr. and Mrs. DeQuincy Lewis stand firmly on the Holy Bible scripture, Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (NKJV).
